Snohomish County offers comprehensive civic resources including renowned medical facilities, dynamic cultural venues, valuable educational institutions, and convenient transportation options.

• The Providence Regional Cancer Partnership opened in 2007 and is a collaboration between four leading medical groups. The four groups consist of Providence Regional Medical Center Everett, The Everett Clinic, Western Washington Medical Group, and the Northwest Washington Radiation Oncology Associates. Together, they offer all aspects of outpatient cancer care under one roof including chemotherapy, radiation oncology, clinical research, integrative medicine and counseling services.

• The Wild Sky Wilderness wildlife area has been created, thanks to recent legislation signed, which created the state’s first new wilderness area in 24 years. This will include 106,000 acres in eastern Snohomish County that will be preserved discontinuing any logging, mining, or off-road vehicle use.

• Snohomish County has two award winning ports, The Port of Everett (left) and The Port of Edmonds (right), home to a variety of industrial and recreational uses.

• Transportation and Infrastructure is improving as demonstrated by the recently completed I-5 Improvements through the City of Everett which make it an effective corridor for companies to transport their products. And, with the recent passage of Proposition 1, light rail is now on track to extend service to Snohomish County.

• The Tulalip Tribes opened the only four-star hotel between Seattle and Vancouver, BC with one of the largest spas in the Pacific Northwest.

• The Everett Events Center at Comcast Arena, a $71.5 million multi-purpose complex, hosted a myriad of events, including Skate America, the premier international figure skating competition held in the United States, which featured many Olympic hopefuls.

• Community Transit’s Swift line, which will run sleek hybrid buses every 10 minutes most of the day on a 17-mile corridor of Highway 99 between Snohomish County and King County.
