LIFE SCIENCES DEGREES AND PROGRAMS
Puget Sound
Edmonds Community College offers an Associate of Science degree with a few focuses; some of which are Biology, Chemistry and Bioengineering. Many of the courses can be rolled over to most four year universities for a Bachelor of Science degree.
Everett Community College offers an Associate of Science degree focusing on Biological Sciences, such as Microbiology and Genetics. Student with this degree often transfer to obtain their Bachelor of Science from one of Washington State's four year degree granting universities.
Seattle Central Community College offers a six-quarter Biotechnology Training Program with an Associate of Applied Science. The program includes classroom and laboratory eductation as well as an industry internship.
Seattle Pacific University offers two paths for a degree in life sciences: Biotechnology/ Molecular Biology and Biochemistry. See some of the individual courses below.
Seattle University offers Bachelors of Arts degrees in Chemistry and Biochemistry as well as Biology, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology.
Shoreline Community College offers a Biotechnology Laboratory Specialist Program, for students wanting to learn about biotechnology research and development. A sampling of classes is listed below. This program is easily transferable to SPU’s Biotechnology/Molecular Biology department, for a Bachelors of Science degree.
